TRANSLATION

An activity involving understanding the contents of a text in the language of another country (for instance, English) and producing a new text in the language of the country the translation is intended to (for instance, Portuguese), but expressing the original text meaning as precisely as possible in that target language.

SWORN TRANSLATION

An activity involving the production by the public (sworn) translator) of an official document in the language of the country that document is intended to (whether that country is Brazil or another one) that, expressing precisely the contents of the original document in all its details (including stamps, seals, signatures, etc.), has the same legal effect of the original document.

LOCALIZATION

It is a multifunction task aimed at adapting the translated text contents of a product to the cultural of the country it is intended to, taking into accunt costumes, religion, weight and measure systems, currency, date and time standards, legislation and other variables that may affect the product.

SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION

It is the act of verbally translating communications of any kind, whether a lecture, a training session, a meeting or otherwise at the same time it is being spoken. For that, the translator uses specific equipment including microphones, transceivers and headsets for both the translator and the participants.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION

It is the act of verbally translating communications of any kind, whether a lecture, a training session, a meeting or otherwise during gaps in the speeches of lecturers or participants bu using sound equipment (speakers and microphones) or not.

IN-THE-FIELD INTERPRETATION

It is the act of verbally translating from and to one or more persons while these are in a field activity, such as a technical visit or an on site training session.

CULTURAL COACHING

It is cultural training (in habits, costumes, language, logistics, culture, cultura, etc.) of people from other countries who want to do business in Brazil (or expatriates) and of Brazilians who intend to do business in English-speaking countries.
